New Grants for Point-of-Sale Equipment

To make it easier for Minnesotans on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program to purchase groceries via curbside pickup or delivery, the Minnesota Department of Human Services, in partnership with the Minnesota Grocers Association (MGA), will issue grants to eligible grocery retailers for point-of-sale (POS) equipment that can accept Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. Retailers can apply for this reimbursement grant through December 30, 2020.

Announcing Elevate Business HC

The Somali American Chamber of Commerce, Hennepin County in partnership with the Mpls Regional Chamber, are pleased to announce Elevate Business HC, a new public/private initiative offering pro bono services to businesses located in Hennepin County. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest, businesses have been greatly impacted and economic recovery is a priority. The goal of the program is to provide resources to help re-build, re-establish and re-ignite business.
